Samantha Thom Starts Karting age 8
Samantha started Karting in cadets when she was eight .On her very first race she got t-boned and got her arm broke. But this did not put her off and once it healed she was back at it. Then with the help and advice from Joe Mcullouch Samantha began to progress and made her way to the front of the grids .On Samantha`s second year she got her best result to date when she finished 3rd in the Irish Grand prix. In this year she also finished third in the championship with some steady results.
Samantha then moved into Mini Max were she gained lots of racing experience. Samantha was then asked to race for Northern Ireland in the Five Nations Race. She also Competed in England in Super One Racing.

2005 Northern Ireland Junior Max Champion
After one year in Mini Max, She moved into Junior Max were she raced with the Railway Hill Kart Racing Team run by Paul Chambers. Samantha was racing against all boys, from ages 14 - 16(Samantha only been 14). Samantha had a wonderfull year and went on to to become the first girl to win the Northern Ireland Championship. She also won lady driver of the year for her fourth year running and Northern Ireland driver of the year. She also finished third in the Ulster Championship.
2006 Samantha races karts and starts her First Rallysprint
In 2006 Samantha continued racing in Junior max and after a solid years racing she finnished third in the Northern Ireland Chamionship and fourth in the Ulster Cup. Samantha moves into Rallysprints
